Cam MC88S & solid lifter Kit (11.9mm valve lift)

For Smart 700cc 452 Roadster, and the 700cc 450 Fortwo.

This cam is for the Smart 452 (Roadster) and 450 (For two) it can produce up to a proposed 200hp (in the correct setup). To fit this cam special valve springs and retainers will be needed to accommodate the 11.9mm valve lift.

The MC88S is in the same family as the early CAM's apart from the fact it has slightly more lift and has acceleration ramps to allow the use of solid lifters. The above is the standard set up against the MC88S cam only and the MC88S cam with the inlet manifold (This graph is from simulation software. See disclaimer)

Above is the kit with shims, Valve Springs, Titanium Retailers and solid lifters.

CAM comparison on the dyno

The above shows the MC86S with solid lifters in comparison to the MC83 cam with hydraulic lifters on the Dyno. (the MC86s is similar to the MC88s but with a none asymmetrical cam profile).
